Well Andy set off for London on Saturday and no sooner had he arrived than he was out the door off with a friend out to dinner. Tomorrow he is flying to Istanbul. I have asked him to take lots of pictures. He says he will be eating at our favorite family restaurant Set Balik. How lucky. He also has plans to go back to Urfa. Pictures please!!
I am here with the boys enjoying our little time together. Isaiah had a tooth that was loose for weeks just hanging on a string. He could twist it every which direction and grossed us all out. All over the Christmas holidays we kept trying to get it to come out. Finally today it came out.
Good bread is not as easy to come by as you might think here, however my friend Lola told me about Barcelo's in the Silverbird shopping mall. She brought me some last Saturday night still hot from the oven and she was right it was delectable. Today Anne and I went and I bout 6 loaves for the freezer. Cyrus, who is our bread and butter man loved it. We also discovered a bookstore. Anne found the cook book section and there we saw a fantastic looking book called Hunger for Freedom The Story of Food in the life of Nelson Mandela. It looks like a book you want to sit down and pour over with a nice glass of red wine.
I will let you know.
More later gotta finish those burper slurpers
